For Matt ’04 and Jennifer ’06 Adams making a gift of life insurance was an excellent way to support the College while their family and careers are growing. The Adamses, who met at Allegheny, “enjoy the opportunity to give back to our alma mater with hopes of providing unique opportunities for current students.”

A planned gift was a natural choice for Matt and Jennifer, particularly given Matt’s position as a financial advisor. They explain that, in addition to being Alden Council level donors, naming Allegheny the beneficiary of a life insurance policy was “an opportunity to increase the future value of current contributions.” Even better, a gift like theirs can be made simply by completing a beneficiary designation form. Both recognize that their Allegheny educations afforded them the opportunity to make this type of commitment, and they encourage others who may be considering a gift to “reflect on the experiences that enabled them to be in a position to do so.”

The Adamses live in Meadville with their young daughter Ellie, giving them a unique opportunity to spend time on campus and remain actively involved with Allegheny. Matt and Jennifer participated in Greek life and cherish the camaraderie they developed with fellow alumni, inspiring them to remain involved with their respective chapters and develop relationships with current students. “We enjoy living in Meadville and watching and being a part of the growing campus,” says Jennifer, a mental health counselor. “We love to reconnect with and meet other alums and share memories and experiences.”
